Music

The mountain music of Northeast Tennessee blooms with originality. Back before “country music” was stage makeup and synthesizers, banjo rolls and fiddle cries echoed through the mountains. And it still does.

In friendly get-together venues across the hills, folks with banjos, guitars, mandolins and fiddles lay down some of the true soul music of Appalachia.

Nearby, "The Birthplace of Country Music"sets the stage for the country music recording industry and opened doors for legendary artists. This is the real stuff, no doubt. You’ll soon be tapping your knee right up until your next visit.
