Organized by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Holston Section the event is designed to promote engineering and science in the Tri-Cities community, the Egg Drop is also an excellent opportunity to encourage students to consider math, science, and other technical fields or disciplines as career options.
at Warriors' Path State Park. April 16-18, 2010 will be a weekend full of nature discovery. We will have a full slate of expert naturalists. Each will lead a mini-seminar on a selected topic in the natural world, followed by a short hike to experience that same nature topic. For example, the stream ecology talk will be followed by a creek discovery walk, the trees & wildflowers walk will be followed by a tree & wildflower hike, etc. This is a free event, and no registration is required. Join us in downtown Kingsport as we welcome the Santa Train roll into Kingsport at 3:08 p.m. Santa and Wynonna Judd will then throw toys off the Kingsport Chamber's platform in the front lawn. The Parade will begin at 3:20 p.m. starting on Main Street.
